Modern Crusaders: Silicon Valley Non-Profit in Custom Article Mount

Thoughts of the Silicon Valley don’t normally turn to the problem of homelessness, but for Karae Lisle of InnVision Shelter Network, it’s a problem that occupies her every day. Her non-profit organization serves the homeless population of Silicon Valley and the nearby Peninsula, and was recently profiled in the San Francisco Business Times. The coverage featured Lisle’s leadership and the recent merger of InnVision and Shelter Network, news that definitely called for custom article mounting.

A Match Made in the Valley
Founded in 1973 and 1987, respectively, InnVision and Shelter Network merged in July into one powerful force to fight homelessness. The company employs 200 and welcomes more than 18,000 volunteers to its front lines each year, and although the merger has seen some challenges, Lisle said a common vision united the two non-profits well before they fused their missions. It’s that vision that helps homeless families and individuals get back on their feet, a “teach a man to fish” philosophy that provides immediate help and long-term planning assistance to its clients. The model has been so successful that Lisle now envisions helping an additional 1,000 people per year, but growth will take time.

Marking a Milestone with Custom Article Mounting
The merger and plans for an expanding mission give InnVision Shelter Network pioneers reason to pause and mark this period of change. Positive press coverage means the group’s network of private and corporate sponsors could grow due to publicity. Growth for InnVision means help for more people who are down on their luck and need some inspiration. A custom wall plaque serves as proof that InnVision and Shelter Network came together in the name of helping others. Visibly preserving that milestone coverage serves to inspire employees, volunteers and clients to set their sights on a future with a vision that is just a little brighter for those who have seen dark times.
