Why a Custom Plaque for a Newpaper Article is better than a Frame

Have you ever spoken to a 5 year old? If you have, I am sure you have played the wonderful game of questions. With their adorable inquisitiveness never ending, a young child can turn any answer into an additional question. While impressive and at times exasperating- in reality our 5 year old selves never truly disappear. 649012807369

Here is an actual conversation i have experienced with a real 5 year old.

5 Year Old: “Why is the sky blue?
Adult: “Because it reflects the ocean.”
5 Year Old: “Why is the ocean blue?”
Adult: “Because that is the color it absorbs.”
5 Year Old: “What does absorbs mean?”

You can see where I am going with this. Not only did this line of questioning continue for quite some time, I know I can attribute a few grey hairs to it.

What does this have to do with plaques? At least once a day, a customer will say, “I already have the article framed, why would I want a plaque?” My mind always wanders to that scenario so here is my answer!

A plaque is better than a frame because…

  • It is more durable. A frame tends to be flimsy while a wooden wall display is sturdy and long-lasting.
  • Prevents yellowing and fading. Putting press in a frame is great but the paper will not last forever. Over time, it will fade and yellow whereas our state of the art lamination process prevents that from happening.
  • Laser engraved plate. Each plaque comes with a customized plate that can be personalized to your specific wording.
  • Once you are one of our customers, we commit ourselves to be your go-to when new articles appear or you need to create a display piece.
So there it is, a plaque is better than a frame and that is that!  I implore you to ignore the 5 year old inside your mind craving to question why. If you must though, my 5 year old response is, “Why not?”
