For a fee of $2,000, friends, family, coworkers, and more can come together to create a batch of their own wine, with a final total of 200 bottles. That’s only $10 per bottle.
In the article, Frank Zoll is quoted as saying: “”Some people like to be involved in every step along the way,” he said, adding that while most groups choose to simply participate in the first step of crushing the fruit (which is provided), it would be the customers’ prerogative to stop in during the months that follow to taste, comment on the wine and tweak the recipe.
At the end of the experience, which lasts several months, the group can gather to bottle and label their batch, or they can rely on Mr. Zoll to get the job done. “I don’t know anybody that is doing that for that price,” he said. “Usually you would pay more than double what I am charging.””
